In 2025, Enginuity commissioned SQW, in collaboration with Oxford Innovation Advice and Qa Research, to quantify the economic cost of skills-related challenges facing manufacturing and engineering SMEs across the UK.

August 2026
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) commissioned SQW to undertake a process and impact evaluation of the Islands Business Resilience Fund (IBRF). The IBRF was a £4.4m Scottish Government initiative to support the resilience of island businesses affected by ongoing ferry disruption.

January 2026
In July 2024, the Royal Academy of Engineering commissioned SQW to deliver an evaluation of the Lord Bhattacharyya Engineering Education Programme, to examine how the LBEEP had been implemented and delivered, and the difference it made to pupils/students and teachers/in-school coordinators.

November 2025
In 2024, SQW was appointed to undertake a Socio-Economic Impact Study of The Pirbright Institute, focusing on activities undertaken in the 2015-16 to 2023-24 period.

October 2025
SQW, in partnership with UK Youth, was commissioned by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to investigate how youth workers interact with other services in practice.

September 2025
In 2024, SQW was commissioned by the Energy Systems Catapult to carry out an econometric analysis of their impacts on business performance of supported SMEs, with a particular focus on firm growth in employment, turnover, assets and attracted investment.
