Solar_panels_2.jpgNorth West Bicester masterplan reaches major milestone

NW Bicester is the UK's first eco-town; when completed it will provide around 6,000 new homes and 6,000 jobs.

SQW has worked as part of the main consultancy team over the last two years, focusing on preparation of an economic development strategy and action plan for NW Bicester. This identifies how 6,000 jobs will be created on-site or within easy walking, cycling or public transport distance of the eco development's residents.

We have worked closely with the other members of the consultancy team, in particular to ensure the physical masterplan and related transport plans reflect the economic and employment objectives and priorities for the development. The masterplan for NW Bicester has now reached a major milestone with the announcement that plans to build up to 2,600 homes have been given the green light.
