Clinical Review of NHS Access Standards - Review of Staff Experience

As part of the Clinical Review of Access Standards, in October 2019 NHS England commissioned SQW Ltd to undertake a rapid evaluation of staff experience among sites involved in the field-testing of the new standards. The work focussed on the proposed new standards for urgent and emergency, cancer and planned (elective) care. It involved interviews with staff in a series of sites where the new standards were being tested to ascertain the views of a range of staff in terms of the impact on how operational issues and staff workloads. The findings fed in to a further, national consultation of the new standards.
