Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) is the badge of advanced professional practice and mastery in further education and training. SQW is working with the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) and the Society for Education and Training (SET) to ensure that ATS is positioned as the gold standard in teaching in the FE and training sector. This standard will contribute to the ETF’s and SET’s goals to strive for excellence within the sector workforce.

The ETF has commissioned SQW to evaluate its Practitioner Research Programme between 2018 and 2020. The programme is delivered in partnership with the University of Sunderland (SUNCETT) and is available to practitioners across England working in the Further Education and Training sector.

Focused Care involves a programme of support for individuals with complex needs, delivered by general practice teams based in areas of high deprivation. It commenced in Oldham and is currently being delivered in six locality areas of Greater Manchester. SQW has been commissioned to conduct a qualitative evaluation of the work.

SQW has been commissioned to evaluate the pilot of the Improving Surgical Training programme within England from February 2019 to December 2021. The programme includes elements such as protected supervision time for training in trainers’ job plans, simulation-based training and a competence based curriculum.
