Senior Consultants – Economics
We are looking for Senior Consultants who are capable project managers, have substantial knowledge of their relevant field and have the ability to win new work for the firm. You will have the opportunity to work for a number of Project Directors on a range of projects. Consultancy experience is an advantage, but evidence of commercial aptitude is more important – you could presently be working in the public, private or voluntary sector. Senior Consultant – HE and Science Policy
To help deliver our growth plans, we are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant to support our work in Higher Education and Science Policy. Ideally, we are seeking to recruit someone who can work in both areas, but those with specialist experience of only one area would also be considered. You will demonstrate substantial policy knowledge in these fields, together with project management ability and the capacity to assume a work winning role soon after joining the firm.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Thorough understanding of higher education, science and innovation policies (including knowledge transfer).
- Consultancy experience is preferred but policy research in an academic environment or relevant experience with a public sector organisation would also be considered.
- Knowledge and experience of policy evaluation frameworks and approaches.
- Initial university training in the life sciences, natural science or engineering would be an asset, but any subject background considered.
Consultancy experience would be a distinct advantage, but more important is your commercial aptitude and ability to manage multiple projects whilst ensuring that the service provided is always of the highest quality. If you have these skills we would like to hear from you.

Senior Consultants

We are seeking Senior Consultants with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Economic appraisal and impact assessment undertaking economic appraisals and/or impact assessment, preferably with a practical understanding of Green Book principles
- Innovation and economic sector analysis analysis of industry competitiveness; and/or
- actions and interventions to improve productivity; and/or
- innovation processes within a business context
- Regeneration and neighbourhood renewal developing and/or evaluating neighbourhood renewal strategies and programmes; and/or
- developing area-based regeneration strategies, including physical development frameworks; and/or
- developing local/neighbourhood structures and approaches to governance and public service improvement
- Labour markets/economic inclusion a good understanding of labour markets, particularly relating to welfare to work, economic inclusion and tackling worklessness in deprived areas.
You will need at least five years’ relevant experience, project management skills, commercial awareness and an ability to take responsibility.
