Graham Thom is Managing Director of SQW. He first joined SQW in Edinburgh and worked there for five years before moving to head our London office for three years. For much of this time he led the firm's work around the development of people. He then became Director of Ekos/Gen Consulting in Glasgow for almost four years before re-joining SQW in 2008.
His consultancy work is focussed in two main areas, still based around the development of people. He has led our work around the personalisation of public services including directing multi-year evaluations of the Individual Budgets and now Special Education Needs and Disability pilots for the Department for Education, the Common Assessment Framework for the Department of Health, and the Integrated Family Support Service in Wales. His second strand of work is around skills and employment interventions. This has included a number of sector studies and strategies (especially around engineering and energy), and evaluations of interventions to help people find work.
